How rampant is the smashing of nurses by doctors in your field? Is it as common as on tv?
It certainly happens, but not like you see on tv shows.
I would imagine it happens more frequently when you work in a teaching hospital. You constantly have young, new docs rotating throughout different areas of the hospital. Friend of mine is dating a young ER doctor that she met at work(she is an ER nurse).

What other 2 occupations complete the Mt Rushmore of fun chicks to bone?

From what I observed, nurses don't really date doctors. But they will smash the old, married doctors and act a freak in bed, hoping that the docs will leave their spouses and marry them, so they never have to work again. Or, they are doctor groupies, and get turned on by men that are doctors. So they will blow them hoping to get on their radar.
It usually ends badly.

Deciding which of the single cute female nurses you work with you want to frick first.
Is it like Grey's Anatomy where all the doctors and nurses frick while a guy is on life support waiting for a heart transplant?

I'm an RN. Most hospitals(at least out here in AZ) no longer hire LPNs. Basically if you are still an LPN you are mainly only gonna be able to work in a nursing home out here.
I'll have my BSN in less than 5 weeks

Congrats.. my fiancé starts her RN program soon, this month I think, but we are still waiting to find out when she can take her boards.. she just got her LPN degree but she's going to work and go to school at the same time
We were about to buy a house but now we are stuck in limbo waiting for her to get her license so she can bring her butt back to work
If I used the wrong terminology, forgive me

Fun fact, anytime you hear a song by The Fray in a hospital, someone is dying.

Good luck to her. She is doing the right thing going back for her RN. If this program isn't a BSN program...encourage her to look into that as well after she becomes an RN.
I worked full time, was dealing with fertility treatments and then all the drama from my family with the flood...and going back to school. It has certainly been very challenging...but I finally can see the light at the end of the tunnel. I could not have done it without such a supportive husband though....so be as supportive as you can of her is all I can say. It will be worth it when she if finished and bringing in more income for you two.

Most of the younger Male Nurses I know don't stay as a RN or BSN for long, they move onto getting a graduate degree in something or another.
Which is a great career path frankly, work 3 12s a week for $50k ish while in school 2-3 days a week eventually earning low to mid 6 figures. Its not a career path to bash anymore.

And the married ones, too. My ex-wife is a nurse who got caught cheating, although not with a murse. However, during the investigations a lot of shite came to light from her past involving married male nurses and doctors.

Nurses cheat. Not sure why but I've never known a nurse who wasn't a lying whore.
