Buy rubbing alcohol (at least 90% strength)

70% will kill almost everything (there are one or two viruses that alcohol wont kill)

but if you are cutting it with slow vera then better get 90%

We go through a lot of sanitizer/soap for work and on Friday we got word that we were looking at a 2-4 month backlog on orders for these.

We still have about a month’s worth on supply on site, but it started a convo of WTF to do if we run out.

What was doubly surprising is the products in question werent in retail packaging.

My local Walmart is nothing but empty shelves where the Clorox and Lysol wipes were and of course there is no hand sanitizer

Empty shelves at the store near me. I did an order for store pickup, and they had disinfecting wipes available that way. They must be hiding them in the back or something.

I just found an entire case of n95’s at work. Seriously considering selling them on eBay.

I have plenty of hand sanitizer of various sizes in my office from all the free samples the GOJO reps have given us in the past.

From CDC:
quote:

Many studies have found that sanitizers with an alcohol concentration between 60–95% are more effective at killing germs than those with a lower alcohol concentration or non-alcohol-based hand sanitizers 16,20. Hand sanitizers without 60-95% alcohol 1) may not work equally well for many types of germs; and 2) merely reduce the growth of germs rather than kill them outright.

Wondering how long it will take SAHMs to start pushing elderberry or essential oils

Anybody check Bath and Body Works stores?

They sell hand sanitizers...just all of them with girly smells.

The brief toilet paper panic might be the most ridiculous thing I’ve ever seen. I saw people buying hundreds of rolls late last week. Shelves empty.

Now like 2 days later my local grocery store is literally blocking the aisles and end caps with TP. There’s no TP shortage idiots.

But hand sanitizer is certainly in short supply. Wipes are back on the shelves for the moment and plenty of soap

I had good luck scoring some at Office Depot and Big Lots. Sam's, Walmart, Target, and Walgreens were all out on Siegen Lane.

I don't get it either. Out here it was the Costco and Walmarts selling out. My local grocery store had plenty.

Yet some of my coworkers still whining about it. I even asked them why not just buy it at the local grocery stores.

Nope...they were upset cause they couldn't save whatever money they normally saved by buying it in bulk at Costco One of my coworker had his wife (that only works part time) going to multiple locations of Costco looking for toilet paper.

So wanted to ask him how much money did he save by driving all over town to various locations.

My college buddy owns a company that makes and sells commercial sanitizer cleaning products. They are killing it right now. That dude just falls into a pot of gold at every turn.

I don't understand why people say there is a shortage of sanitizing products.

We have two closets full of that kind of stuff...
