I’d argue that it is. Easily punches above its weight class, especially against Russian modern tanks and BMP/BRDMs.

The Bradley has a pretty damn good record in combat and when utilized correctly is a huge asset on the battlefield.

I'm thinking more along the lines of which vehicle would you say had the biggest direct impact in a conflict from the past?

Aircraft carrier.

Really any naval vessel at any time period. No military empire has existed for any long period of time without a strong navy since the invention of naval ships. It’s the ultimate projection of strength and allows you to efficiently go on the offensive. You can invade. You can occupy. You can move supplies in large amounts without the need for vast railroad and highway infrastructure. Without a navy a military is solely a defensive unit or at best a regional power against neighboring nations, like Russia.

The United States Navy is why we are head and shoulders above everyone else

Pentagon Wars makes it impossible for me to take the Bradley seriously.

My answer to this is the nuclear ballistic missile submarine.

A carrier strike group is an impressive display of power, but a shitload of nuclear bang bang sneaking around the entire world for months on end is what keeps the world from getting too stupid.

Not saying it isn’t okay but the best, not even close. It’s a lightly armored coffin, especially for the dismounts in the back.

Once the Wehrmacht introduced the PzKpfw IV

Were they the ones introduced in the desert to cut into the Matilda's hide?

Some PzKpfw IV Ausf. G were sent to North Africa; specifically to deal with the better armored Sherman’s and Matilda’s that the 5.0 Cm gun on the PzKpfw III could not handle.

One thing you have to remember is that even though the PzKpfw IV became the workhorse of the Panzerwaffe inasmuch as taking on Allied tanks is concerned, early in the war that was not the case. The main tank killer for the Wehrmacht before late 1942 / early 1943 was the Pzkpfw III with first a 3.7 cm, and later 5.0 cm, high velocity main gun. Its role was to kill enemy tanks. Meanwhile, the larger Pzkpfw IV had a short-barreled low-velocity 7.5 cm main gun that was suited for reduction of field fortifications. The reason the Germans up-gunned the IV to the long barrel 7.5 cm main gun and not the III was because the III had a smaller turret ring in the hull, meaning it could not accommodate a turret large enough to fit the long 7.5 cm gun.

Some examples:

Early war PzKpfw III Ausf A with 3.7 cm gun

Mid-war PzKpfw III Ausf J with 5.0 cm gun

Early war PzKpfw IV Ausf. A with low-velocity 7.5 cm gun

Mid-war Pzkpfw IV Ausf G with high-velocity 7.5 cm. Gun

I was Armor. Our Cav Scouts used the Bradley. Anytime we were in the field and I saw them, it made me grateful I was in an Abrams instead of a Bradley, especially when you think about the fact their armor is made of aluminum.

I loved my Bradley on the range, in combat, hell no!! Abrams is a bad MOFO and should be in the top 3.

Yes

As far as the most fun, each position has its ups and downs. If I had to rank them I’d go:

1 gunner
2 driver
3 TC
4 loader

Was my first thought as well. Built right here in Louisiana. Couldn’t have landed successfully on the beaches of Normandy without them.
