I was speeding down highway 19 in brothers Jeep. The cop turned on his lights going in the opposite direction. This was in between Wilson and Norwood. I had taken the Jeep to the shop in Zachary and it was also for sale. I was able to make it back to my grandparents and place the for sale sign in the window and put it by the road before the cop caught up. Pulled away in my car, which was a civic. Passed the cop who was chasing me.

Damn, this reminds me of the time I was going about 100 in that dark, desolate 2 miles or so between Violet and Meraux (not sure if it still is, this was in 2002/3). See a cop going towards Violet flip on the lights and I catch the break lights in my rear view.

I hit the curve just right and swung into the parking lot at whatever business is right before the entrance to Lexington. Car off, duck, see cop fly by.

I was 16 and terrified. I sat there for a good hour before driving home at the speed limit.
