Some of you guys may remember this incident. Back in 1990 or 91, 3 kids that had just graduated drowned in the Amite River in Bluff Creek. I was 10 and out there that day.

I knew one of the guys that drowned that day. His name was Huey.

I went to school with him and he dated my buddy's sister. IIRC that was the last day of school. Me and my buddy talked with him a few hours before he died. I still remember the last thing he said to me. Weird how that stays with you when something like that happens.

I haven't thought about this in a long time. I can't even remember his last name it's been so long ago.

Haven't seen anything creepy to say, but just walking into the stand in pitch black is creepy AF sometimes in hog country.

Hogs will almost always flee. They only become aggressive when injured or cornered.

Then coyotes after that although coyotes will flee with any amount of resistance.

For fricks sake, y'all are scared of coyotes? Whens the last time you've heard of a coyote killing or maiming a full grown man?

I usually see them in our neighborhood at night or early in the morning a few times per year.

Or a Bigfoot.

Most city slickers are scared of the dark and such. I’ve seen and spooked many of them.

You have a better chance of getting killed with a flying champagne cork than a coyote attacking you. I can’t believe grown men scared n the woods.

No this was in the 80s so no drones back then. It was also too big for one. My guess was that the sides of the triangle were at least 25 yards long, if not longer.

Probably not true but these stories will make your hair stand up. Its all about weird stuff that supposedly happened in the woods when searching for people. It fits in with some of the stores others have posted.

We had Lockheed D-21 drones like these 60 years ago (early 60s).

Imagine what we had in the 80s, or have now.

Did you not see where I said that they will almost always flee with any amount of resistance? But you and I both know it’s not out of the realm of possibilities to be attacked by coyotes.

The worst for me was hunting in a brush blind in south Texas.. I got in the blind to bow hunt about an hour before daylight.. right when you can barely see I hear something coming through the brush..It was 3 Mexicans with duffel bags and ak's walking right toward me. 20 yards out they turned and crossed the road I was huntin..

I've walked up on all kinds of animals in the dark and I've never been spooked.. only thing I'm worried about is other humans..

Mrs. Billjamin some land out in West Texas. It's really remote, like 45+ minutes to the nearest store/gas station. I was out riding a 4 wheeler looking for pigs to shoot and got turned around. Anyone who's familiar with land out there knows how huge some of these places are out there. As i come into a clearing i see something so i start to ride over to check it out. Keep in mind, no one's lived on this property for over a decade. We get out there about 3 time a year and are the only ones. As i roll up i saw a kids school desk in the middle of the clearing with an old rotten blackboard, etc. Basically it looked like a kids class room in the middle of the clearing. needless to say i hauled arse out of there. When i told the mrs about it, she told me her dad used to setup shite like that to frick with people. He had a bit of a drinking problem and i guess he thought it would be funny. Maybe he was right.

I was around 13 and I was driving around a wooded area in my little Suzuki lj20. My dad was with me.
We went into an area behind Indian Lake subdivision that now has an Orthopedic surgeon living there but at the time it was connected to wildlife refuge.
We saw a broken down log cabin and old abandoned office building that I think had (from what I can recall) a DWF sign on it.
We didn't go much further but I wish we had.

Can you imagine doing that today. Nearly impossible to get lost.

How did you find yourself in that situation?

It's not out of the realm of possibilities to be attacked by an eagle, but you don't hear people talking about being afraid of eagles while walking through the woods.

Of all the things that could harm you in the woods, coyotes are wayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy down the list. It's silly to be afraid of coyotes past puberty.
