one reasons i'm trying to focus on paying my student loans is so that i can go real lean

it's too scary to me to start over with entry level earnings thinking about being in the red again. if i get lean, i can do it

Hopefully, I put the right people in place this time to maintain what I am currently building so I can find other challenges when I eventually get bored with this.

You can get lean in 6 months. No questions. Let's do this pod cast.

Really isn't. It think those with backup plans, those who can adapt to change and have healthy lives outside work fare better.

Honestly you would be the best host for a podcast because you are curious. And you you don't judge. You have opinions but you can reserve them.

I'm from your neck....let's do it.

I want a career change in another part of the country. Heck, I would move outside the U.S. right now.

I am pretty guilty of this sadly. The truth is things have been a roller coaster for me since 2008. It's no coincidence that I posted a lot during those years vs less and less now. I was pretty depressed over the subprime mess and what I lost. I turned into a grouchy hermit. Crazy thing is that I didn't even realize how bad it was until a few years ago when I decided enough was enough and I was ready to build something again.

I am trying to take more time for personal stuff but working from home doesn't help too much with meeting people. I am also 35 so all of my old friends are married with kids which I passed on to work. I have seriously thought about moving to a new area/state just to jump start something because I can work from anywhere but I help with my dad a lot who is fighting cancer so that isn't currently an option. It is what it is at this point I guess.

my plan is to divide the site into 4 parts

1. self improvement
2. politics
3. entertainment/sports
4. weird shite (like UFOs, bigfoot, black eyed children, etc)

Move to the Okanagan Valley, BC Sabi. Little Valley in South Central BC. Wineries, ski slopes, doesn't get too hot or too cold.

I've been looking up New Zealand a lot. I actually signed up with their immigration site and they send me articles and job postings.

Rarely snows in Victoria.

Kelowna Has highs in the low 30's in January, low 80's in Summer. Really good wine growing area as well. 30's in Kelowna is more comfortable than 45 in Nola.
