I'm sure it's many at bars or even at their personal homes who don't stand at all. It doesn't make a person less American..

Any other Christians feel increasingly silly for pledging allegiance to one's country? I've been feeling this way for a while.

I think it's kind of silly myself. I still stand at events because I don't like drawing attention to myself.

Actually standing isn't a big deal. Not standing is what was made a big deal and only when it was claimed for some bs reason.

No, but in public displays you should stand and take off your hat. That is just how it is.

It is a tiny show of appreciation you give for being able to practice religion, or not. Vote, or not. Say what you want, or shut up.

It would require acknowledgement that other countries do not necessarily allow the same freedoms.

people today are just lazy apathetic punks who think they're too woke or edgy to show some simple decency, common courtesy, or respect, why do you pull over for a funeral procession? or do you?

The three upvotes are Paul Allen, Clark14, and BossBailey upvoting himself.

I stand, I do not care if others sit. I do not let others actions bother me, and frankly, the whole point of "freedom" is to be free to do what you want. Veterans fought for your right to be free, whether anyone agrees with the beliefs or not.

I do, sometimes I catch myself getting impatient. I try to think how sad the folks in the car behind the hearse. That usually sets me right.

You sound young and stupid. Go join any branch of the military then you'll understand why.

Everyone at the bar I attended stood .... most had hands over hearts.
