My Bush hog 61" zero turn is great. Self propelled with almost instantaneous speed variability at your discretion, has built in pumps for extremely easy maneuverability and it has a seat on top so you don't have to walk.

If your main requirement is being maneuverable, get a self big wheel push mower. Less weight to spin around and handle. Rolls easy thanks to the high wheels.
This gets my vote. The self-propel units add considerable weight, and they don’t work very well imo. Good exercise, too from self.

I have a Toro. If I could do it over I’d get a Honda

Anyone know much about Ariens mowers? Guy I know bought one from his brother in law that was getting out of the lawn business. It’s a commercial grade mower and my buddy doesn’t need it and offered it to me for $150. I have a 20 year old Honda that runs fine, but feel it may be nearing the end of its useful life. This one is only 5 years old, but obviously has a lot of hours on it. My buddy said his brother in law was meticulous with regular maintenance.

Looking for one that’s maneuverable.
Look for one with front wheels like this for maneuverability.

I just purchased this one two weeks ago. Only used it once, but you can tell it's a good quality. Cranked right up on the first pull and runs smooth.

Got my Honda from Sam's and it's the best one I've ever had. Starts easily on one pull and I like that it's pretty damn fast. I'll never buy anything other than a Honda ever again.
Another vote for a Honda. I put it together out of the box and literally pulled it one time and it started up. The mower housing is made out of the same stuff they make football helmets out of. It’s super light and very maneuverable.
I won’t own anything else.

Had anyone posted the flying lawnmower yet?

Yeah I have the cub cadet SC 900 with a 23" cut. Never use the bag and it mulches anything I've ever been through. It's nicely over-powered.

Honda is definitely the winner here

My Honda has been great. They're not the cheapest, but they last. It's given me zero problems in about 15 years.

I don't know if it's the "best" but I have a self propelled Toro with a briggs and stratton engine. It's 10 yrs old and still starts on the first or second pull. All I've done is changed the oil and air filter in it a few times.

I’ve had my Honda for 20 years and I can only remember changing the oil twice. Change the air filter every year, and run the gas out of it at the end of cutting season every year. It takes a couple of pulls to start it the first time after it sits all winter, but no problems the rest of the cutting season.

I'll say I've used Honda and Toro both extensively, and the toro self propelled mechanism is much easier to use and work on vs the Honda.
The Honda relies on you to use your thumbs to engage, where the toro you are pushing with your arms. I found my wrists starting to hurt after 30-45 min of using the Honda.
Just my two cents. I currently have a 30" Toro Timemaster, and its the best mower I've ever owned.

Is this for the wife to use?

I have a Toro variable speed with smart stow feature. Really light weight and the smart stow feature means it doesn't take up a lot of space in the garage.
