I had success with an enzyme product once, where you pour hot water down the drain, pour in the enzyme mix, and then wait like 2 days - no water in drain for those two days.
well its a 1 bathroom house and its the bathtub drain so with a wife and 2 daughters using it, at best i can shut it down for around 4-6 hours in middle of night after they all go to bed

This works pretty well for us. And we have a LOT of hair (wife, niece, 3 daughters).
It’s called a zip-it. They’re like $2 at Walmart.

This is the best I’ve ever used. It’ll clear anything. Draino ain’t got shite on this.

Thrift Drain Cleaner
Found that most plumbing warehouses (Coburns, LCR, etc) maybe Home Depot or Lowe’s not sure...Google says you can get it on Amazon.
I worked at a plumbing warehouse for a while in college...it was recommended to me by a plumber 20 years ago...haven’t bought any other drain cleaner since.

hydrofluoric acid
One of the most harmful acids if contact with skin occurs. Will go right to bone.
Perchloric ranks up there as well as an explosion hazard due to perchlorate salts forming.

Someone makes a fitting for the end of a pressure washer hose that shoots water 360 degrees inside the pipe. Would probably be handy to have around the house

Sulfuric acid based drain cleaners will absolutely eat through hair clogs.
The fumes will also eat the epithelial layer of your entire body as you pour it down the drain.

Then follow up with your preferred cleaners. And follow that with scalding hot water

Muriatic acid...just don’t let it get on any metal(will tarnish the finish) or natural stone

Like a couple guys already said, it’s Thrift and it’s not even close. Only available at plumbing wholesalers like Archie said though, not DIY places.
It will actually dissolve the hair, not turn it slick or anything. Literally dissolves it.

Make sure you haven’t used any other drain cleaner before pouring this in or you’ll create basically mustard gas
