Not going to be doing a lot of towing, mostly hauling stuff from a to b. Won't be a weekend truck so no need off road equipment. Want a comfortable reliable new truck.

What do you need a truck for in San Francisco?

If price isn't an issue, Ford. They are heavily customizable for business needs and they're built to withstand the grind of hauling

Helping local economy would mean you buy from a local dealership, where the parish/state gets the sales tax and the salesman gets his commission. So this means that any local dealer irregardless off manufacturer.

As often as you will have to replace your truck, you will certainly accomplish that goal.

I'm going to need more compelling evidence to believe this.

We have F150's and Rams in our work fleet and seem to get good longevity out of them. My F150 work truck has 178000 and only thing I have had to do is change the battery besides regular maintenance. The Ram does get better fuel mileage in comparison with the Ford. My personal truck is a Silverado and I have zero complaints so far. Any truck will do what you are wanting basically it just comes down to price and preference

Be sure to get 84 month financing and credit life. It's the best IRA you can have.
