Millennial here. I was fully aware Popeye loves him a can of spinach, especially when he’s about to rescue his lady. Toot, toot!

No shite, that was a regularly played cartoon on TV when I was a kid and I'm a millenial.

Similar to the dumb thread about fight club. The movie came out when many millennials were at the ripe age to go see such a film.

Now Popeye is much older, but I think this is the case more of a dumb young blonde (who I wood), than it has anything to do with being a millennial.

I must admit I thought this was going to be about a survey about the food place

They are spelled differently. The restaurant has no apostrophe.

Didn't Popeye actually hate spinach and always ate it begrudgingly?

Ding! Ding! Ding! Nobody else in this thread, nor either family on the FF, nor the 100 people they polled get it.

She needs to be taken out back and beaten until she gets a less grating voice.

Only in the Robin Williams movie. But the comic version of Popeye was used to promote Spinach all the way back to 1930s. And the Fleischer cartoons all have him gobble it no problem when he uses it.
