This...

I just east off the gas until they get pissed and pass me too.

I got time and I don't want their bumper in the back of my kids head.

Edit.

Actually had kept slowing down to let one pass me and he never did. Just got irate and drove worse and followed me into a gas station.

I had kids in carseats and came out of my vehicle fricking hot and took off straight for his. He closed his door fast as hell and hurry and squealed tires back on the road and gone.

I guess he thought it was a woman or little dude driving a Minivan.

Well it wasn't.

It sure as hell is if the guy in the right lane is doing 78.5 mph and I’m in the left doing 85 mph. Get back to the right and slow down half mph gramps!

This is my tactic as well. I used to brake check them, but then I realized that this trash probably doesn't have insurance and then I'd be screwed so I do it the easier softer way to get the same result. I'll just take my foot completely off the gas and let in continually coast to slower and slower.

As a sidenote, another thing I've noticed: (this is on the interstate) - is people tailgate only because they want to be in a lane all to themselves. It's not that you're not going fast enough. There are times that I'm going 90/95 in the left lane and some jackass wants to come up on me and tailgate me (as though that's not fast enough). Time and time again I'll do the right thing and get in the right lane to let them pass and then there they are going the same speed.

I would say that this is a Louisiana thing because our drivers suck arse, but I've noticed tailgating in multiple states. Some people have that in their blood that they think they own the road and how dare you be on it.

Usually they do this when the weather is bad. On a dry sunny day they’re puttering in the left lane.

I was going 10-15 mph over the speed limit on a two lane rd (our lane And oncoming traffic). Still riding my arse where their whole grill is taking up my back window. If a deer or dog had jumped out and I needed to brake at all he would have been in my back seat.

I see this regularly from people driving big vehicles.

Sounds like a typical drive through Upper Pointe Coupee Parish on LA 1......

frick you too...and that will be me behind you in your backseat when you are driving like an a-hole in the passing lane.

Deal with it and stop complaining like a pussy on a message board.

Love how on winding roads with high traffic and no shoulder people will ride you arse like they gonna get somewhere quicker. I cant pass and you wont pass me. 10 cars ahead of us. Why do we need to be bumper to bumper.

This was today round canyon lake tx

Didnt mean you specifically

I was stupid in college but these instances happened to me quite a bit and it drove me to the point where I’d break check and give them a chance to back off and if they didn’t I’d slow down and trap them behind myself in the passing lane and the car I was about to pass.

“I'm doin' a hundred on the highway
So if you do the speed limit, get the f*** outta my way”

Get out of his way like they do on rural roads in Texas by pulling to the shoulder for a second, or grow some hair on your peaches and speed up. It isn’t worth getting rear ended or worse even if you feel the other guy is an idiot. He’s probably thinking the same of you, and he’s willing to take more risk.

ETA: get a Uniden R4 and you can do 20-25 over with confidence.

No. There was no shoulder. Just a ditch. So there is no where to pull over to. And I shouldn’t have to go faster (especially when I’m already speeding) just because you’re an a-hole.

I see this a lot. Another thing I notice is I'll be in the left lane doing 80, I'll see a car coming up fast gaining so I get over. Then he never passes me until I'm stuck behind a guy in the middle lane doing 65.
Then I cut back and am 4 cars back in a 70 mph pack.
