I was contemplating the true meaning behind the word "history" last night and I decided that history, or what we refer to as a history, cannot be confined by a single definition.

I'm nauseated by the amount of people who negligently refer to history as something that can occur in the past when it is so blatantly obvious that history can be the present and the future as well. We, as a society, need to do a better job with concentrating on the connotations and denotations of a word to establish more unambiguous definitions. So now I must ask, ladies and gentlemen of the OT, how do you define history, and what evidence do you have to support your definition?

History is the whole series of past events connected with someone or something.

Evidence: It is the definition of the word.
