If you have way too much money, check out the Dyson.

Dyson animal is the best you can buy and worth every penny. Thing is amazing and great battery life too

We have a dyson stick vacuum where you can remove the stick extension and it's basically a hand held. Love it. We have a dog and its convenient enough to tidy up every day. Lightweight and cordless. Only 200 on amazon. Not cheap, but not crazy expensive. It's really our only vacuum to clean up between maid visits. Gets the job done.

Besides a robot are there any vacuums that aren’t hand held? What else are you going to hold it with?
