I won’t get married at this point, at this age I am too established in a routine & while I would enjoy the company I don’t want someone around 24/7

I am with Rog the Shrub on this one. I wouldn't close any doors or make any real decisions. You never know who's going to bump into you at GNC when you're buying your creatine and change your outlook.

37, one kid, but same for me. I like the way my life is, it would take something truly mindblowing for me to change it at this point I think.

I did get the jokes. They weren’t very good - even by the played out OT standards. It’s actually what led me to state the over speaking.

Kids have given my life infinite meaning. Being a family was truly amazing and rewarding. But I have no problem with a 40 year old man living his life outside of the sanctioned paradigm. The whole thing is set up to elevate the woman and bring the man down ten notches or so. I don’t know many successful men my age who don’t feel a bit like a mule.

I'd say if you're 40 and unwed then you're pretty safe, though my husband was 33 when we met and had no intention of getting married.

Mine was 29 and also had no intention. 8 years later, here we are still unmarried
But we will eventually get around to it. No real sense of urgency since things are great the way they are anyway.
