Nice local high end restaurants and local bars.
I’ve seen some stupid stuff on here about how places need to be able to adapt.
People are dumb about this these kind of things

The elephant in the room is sports, college sports in particular. If football doesn't restart in some fashion this year, a lot of athletic departments won't make it.

Unless the drive in run-n-tug becomes popular.

The last time I went to Pluckers on Bluebonnet, it was the day LSU played hoops at Auburn (the game we should have won). It was empty on a Saturday for an LSU game. It seems like they're on the way out, which sucks. I doubt they make it through this. Best wings in town (in my opinion).

I was listening to a podcast this morning and they were talking about how they think this could be the end of movie theaters. They were saying unless they can do something different to bring people to them other than just movies.
Or I could see them shutting down and then smaller theaters pop up.
But I think AMC closing isn't so much about the current situation as it is how people consume their entertainment over the past 15 or so years.

They will be fine. Liberty will take a hit, but the teams know they have to stick together in order to stay viable and keep the sport viable.

Can we add the XFL since they fired all of their employees today and have listed their status as to when they will return as "unknown"?

I will be pretty heartbroken if theaters die off.
There is literally a less than zero percent chance of this happening.

Yeah they may change a bit but studios still need theaters. My kids have only existed in a time of everything being on demand and they still absolutely love going to a new movie in a theater. I can imagine that’s a rarity.
Now maybe new models for concessions, different ownership groups, etc may occur but I don’t see people giving up on going see new movies.

I've managed both and currently run a chain restaurant. You are absolutely correct. I keep seeing that local joints need to figure it out or screw chain restaurants because they are a chain. Not sure what people want

Not a chance. If you don’t like their wings, they’ll give you the bird.
Pluckers is an institution. Not going anywhere.

Worried about several of my favorite local restaurants.
