It’s the sticker on your vehicle that makes it legal to drive to the store and make some groceries.

Yes mostly. Checked the road worthiness of a vehicle, especially before emissions testing.

It's a sticker that lets everyone know that Uncle Sam is still tagging your arse.

Wait... I understand the joke behind brake tag and making groceries.... do some people call it something other than the “store”?

It’s the La government saying: “We are broke and need some cheap money for no reason”.

Yes they do.
You go to the grocery.
While in the grocery you’re “makin’ groceries”.

Most call it an inspection sticker. Just some crappy car sticker that will start peeling off in a couple of months.

It’s what normal people call an inspection sticker.

Since they “inspect” your vehicle

I used to do this at my parents gas station. You check to make sure blinkers are working, brake lights, reverse lights, horn, headlights, and bright lights and if there was a gas cap. At some point we had to start checking the tint. Cracks in the windshield were sort of subjective. I can’t remember what else was inspected. The best was when dipshites who knew they had an obvious thing that wouldn’t pass inspection either get all pissy or try to bribe me over a $20 repair. I will say the inspections were bs and served zero point. I don’t know any other state that does this. Some do emissions testing which has a point.

does it?

I mean all they do is test your gas cap seal, iirc. it has been a while since I lived in a polluted parish.

why not check exhaust? you know, the emissions?
