What if someone from the distant future came to present day and paid America's debt

Like say a quadrillionaire hopped into a time machine and stopped in 2018 America and just paid America's multi-trillion dollar debt, erasing the deficit.
Would all that extra cash.. suddenly dumped into the economy from a different world essentially.. cause a global meltdown of some sort? Like mass and sudden inflation?
