In the unlikely event I ever have children, I'll do my best to shack up with a woman that is 5'10" to 6'1" so she can squeeze out some professional athletes.

My wife is 5'-9". My son co-ordination is starting to catch up to him. He is beginning to understand how to use his size in athletics. Hoping to make him a Tiger one day!!

Unless he is forcing him to play sports that he doesn't want to play, that's not a bad goal at all.

Personally, I'll teach my little frickers to punt and kick.

Same, and years of old man strength.

My dad would crush me with his left arm tied behind his back

I'm 6'5" and never thought of myself as especially tall. However, a couple of times a week, I'll have someone say something to me about my height.

I'm 6" and don't really consider it tall.. Above average but tall to me is when you get into the 6"2 range.. Weight plays quite a bit into this as well.. A 170 pd 6"0 guy looks a lot taller than a 6"0 240 guy

Out of the 10,000 people trafficking this website, 40 have responded. Maybe just the ones that are taller are willing to come forth with that information?

Either way, its hardly enough data points to get the height of the average OTer.

I am not "that dad". I have not forced him in any way. I did not allow him to play "PEE WEE" football because I felt that he would be vulnerable to injury. I played basketball and was hoping that is where his interest would lie but he loves football and I let him play starting in jr high. I know in reality that her will probably never be an elite athlete but I support his trying to make the most of his abilities.

Wife is 5'0"
SIL 4'11"
MIL 4'11"
FIL 5'7"

You would have to be Captain Oblivious to not realize you are tall at 6'5". I mean, I know you are only used to your perspective, but when you know what the top of every single other person's head looks like, you are tall.
