Going to church. Never in my wildest dreams did I think that would be banned. I wish I’d gone more than what I was doing

Predictable child care. Stringing together adequate childcare has been a beast.

Being able to get a haircut. The place I usually go to recently closed again and all the employees were made to test for COVID.

Missing sports so far hasn't really bothered me much except for stuff that my son missed out on in the spring. I'm a football guy so bring on the fall and the end to the Covid restrictions.

I think I took for granted how much I love festival season and all outdoor events. It was fcking brutal during that two or three week stretch in late April into early May when the weather was unreal and we missed French Quarter Fest, Jazzfest, and the Zurich Classic. I would add in tons of day drinking at outdoor bars also.

I mean being able to do crap like that is why I put up with the crap of living in this dump.

To be honest I haven’t missed sports too much. For me just getting outdoors. I didn’t realize how much I was staying indoors until covid. Now I’ve been making it a priority to do things outside on the weekends.

Unfortunately the July heat has driven my family back inside more than I would like.

Cabin fever is setting in. The worst part is that I think the perfect cure is heading towards the mountains. The logistics of getting there and all the restrictions in place isn’t worth it. Some areas even have outdoor mask requirements in public spaces.

April to August is my festival/vacation time of year. My New York vacation, Vegas vacation, Beer festival, Medieval festival, Wingfest, Asian Festival, Comicon, Greekfest, and Elton John concert have all been cancelled. It's like I missed my favorite time of the year. I have another vacation week next month and we are gonna try to go somewhere at least.
And I know this isn't popular here but I miss the Braves and I miss getting ready to watch the Vols. Also, I miss watching Big Brother and other shows that debut in the summer. All of that along with the constant social and political fighting and I am just ready for this crap to be over.
