Well the son is a tool for doxxing the councilmen like that on social media. Doesn't excuse anything councilmen did though.
Both parties are dumbasses.

This is an elected official. Is it any wonder for the spike in violent crime?

If you mean by overdevelopment and over-building, you’re correct.
This is a big part of the problem. I was on P&Z for about 2 years. Some of us tried to bring some common sense to overdevelopment but the council members would over ride many of the things we voted down. Zachary was a pretty good place 10 years ago but it’s becoming a shithole. The wife and I have had about enough and thinking of moving to Ethel area. Buy some land and build and put the kids at Silliman in Clinton.

I wonder if this is why their football team has lost so many starters over the last three seasons.
In the meantime, Silliman is growing.

So if the schools have taken a dump, what's good in Zachary?
Absolutely nothing, unless you're a fan of overpriced housing. There are few restaurants here, nowhere to really shop unless Walmart is your idea of what that means, etc., etc.

Honestly not a surprise on a number of fronts.
When I was in HS, any kid looking to jump schools and play immediately, be it for losing their starting position elsewhere or getting kicked out, would jump to Silliman because they could be instantly eligible in the MPSA.
Stupid when it was a kicker who lost his position due to missing practice and throwing a fit over it.
More understandable when someone managed to get kicked out of one specific private school in BR known for taking anyone and everyone. No one in BR would touch them over why they left a different school.

Hotheads and tattoos on players are the biggest items for their losses I was told.
Zachary better get their shite together in the city or watch what they built go to shite faster than ever could expect.
I watched their school board meeting. It was cringe.

Wasn’t Zachary the #1 school district in the state at some point?
Posted on 11/12/21 at 7:45 am to lsursb
Still is the number one district. Amazingly.

Somehow my comment got deleted but I said I was impressed it was the #1 district since the town is 47% culcha

That video is exactly why young black males are being shot and murdered in record numbers. Any little argument or disagreement, they pick up a gun to settle their dispute. Instead of being ridiculed, his constituents will praise him for his actions sending a message to young black males that it’s ok to solve your problems with a gun. This is just another example of why I can’t wait to move to an area that doesn’t tolerate the thug culture.

Spot on. And making matters worse- this guy is not only an elected public official, he’s a mental health/ drug addiction counselor with a psychology degree
If that’s the example being set

He was on the news last night. Doubled down on his position and tried to justify his actions in the video.
Said something to the effect of “I’m a veteran and this is America. If you wanna come to my house and I feel threatened with my kids there, you’re gonna leave with a halo.”

It really is amazing. It should be put on a pedestal by african-americans as a success story. Instead, they seem hellbent on tearing the place down.

5150 is mental case used or was used by the LAPD.
I guess police depts in Louisiana do not use this code.

5150 refers to the California law code for the temporary, involuntary psychiatric commitment of individuals who present a danger to themselves or others due to signs of mental illness. It has been more generally applied to people who are considered threateningly unstable or “crazy.”

I just found the correspondence on Facebook and now feel dumber for having read through the comments. Both sides of that argument are cringeworthy
