Any good funeral parlor has a good selection of wigs.

Possible, but unlikely. Relatives who are pretty far removed can still inherit if they are determined to be the next of kin. Assuming they can be located, of course.

Closing living relative gets it. Remote Collateral Relatives

If there are no living relatives anywhere, the state gets it. Escheatment

Last resort is to the state.

If there is anything of value left.... after the cops, city, social services, and whoever else swoops in to 'inventory' the contents and look for information in NOK.

Speaking of AT, I haven't seen one of his rummage sale threads in a while.

There was a big thread on him awhile back. Apparently he bought an old laptop at a yard sale that had a shite ton of bitcoin stored in it.

10 years after my mother passed a friend brought to my attention that her name was in the paper. It was a last notice for bank funds. I called and it was a little over 100 bucks...not worth the effort collecting.

I would honestly not doubt this for one second lol

They should have to wear a patch of the age of the person who passed on their jersey.

Like every other state, I assume Louisiana has intestate succession laws that govern how that person’s property will pass.

It's not an unusual situation, because a lot of old dudes are bald when they die. Wait, did you say heirs or hairs?

Next family relative, if no living heirs. It has to hit tax sale. Tax sale owner can’t purchase fully until three years. Otherwise, it’s about 5 years for the adjudication sale to take place.
