What happens if the rule of law completely breaks down and anarchy rules

I'm not advocating this or saying it will, but in light of the Micheal Brown killing I think this might be the best time to discuss this. Will it be like Mad Max, where people form small clans and fight and kill for the Basic essentials? Will it be like Batman Begins where criminals are running around and people are just shooting anyone and everyone that even slightly appears to be a threat? Or will it be like the Doomsday Preppers where people look out for their own and say frick the world.

When the poors that make up what is known as the shithole we call St. Louis lose their ability to log onto Facebook, first of the month checks can't come, and the liquor runs out, they'll stop and allow the gov to come and pay for reconstruction.

Have you forgotten NOLA during Katrina? It is a perfect example of a doomsday scenario. People with sense move to a safe area and barricade themselves. The Takers run rampant for a few days until they realize they don't know how to survive on their own. They cry for help and then the GOV rolls in heavy handed and restores order.
