Goth (the style at least) seemed to take off when The Cure hit it big in the mid 80’s and lasted almost to the 2000’s then morphed into these emo cutters and self loathing types that listen to My Chemical Romance and such. I guess the neck beard fedora wearing freaks would fall into some sub genre of this just basement dwelling virgins.

I'm glad the goth scene is gone. Not have to worry about if that oily hair guy dressed all in black will decide to go on a mass shooting spree.
