Pick one bad habit that you have, that really don't even love... then swear it off for The Rest of Your Life. Do this every year or two and you might keep up with the bad ones that you're adding.

The last one for me was last summer when I swore off soft drinks.

Get up around 4am every morning and do some form of exercise. Swim, bike, run, weights.

Always be on time for everything.

Hey ILB. I also make my bed every day. That way I get something done and I slip into a nice smooth bed at night. I also quit drinking and never did smoke.

Plus, I've become an early riser. I don't lounge around in bed in the weekends. I get up and get going. Always makes me feel better.

I have a habit of being well organized, in my line of work it has helped me move to the top over more experienced people.

Be a white guy. Not as great of a habit as it used to be.

Eta: not drinking caffeine too

I need more good habits and this topic has been good to read through. Working in a desk job for 15+ years makes the work week a bit repetitive so I try to mix it up just a little to keep from going insane. For example:

Breakfast: Smoothie 1-2x/week; skip breakfast 1x; pick up fast food 1x; lots of bacon at home 1x/week

Lunch: Nap for 45 minutes 2x week (w/ quick sandwich/chips); go out with co-workers 1-2x/week; work out at gym near our office 1-2x/week.

After work: Work out near office while traffic dies down 2x/week; Happy hour with wife or couple of friends 1x/week; straight home for dinner with family and hanging out with kids 2x/week.

This one is debatable. I know successful people around the country in the corporate world and entrepreneurs that drink their fair share. Moderation is so hard for so many people. Don't have to give up alcohol, just drink responsibly. 4-6 drinks a week isn't bad at all.
