Just daily gym visits or are you doing a program like Crossfit?

I put very simple items on my "to-do" list, or items that I have already accomplished, like your dad, gives you a feeling of achieving something that carries over for a period of time.

Jogging at least a mile a day, everyday (typically get in at least 2.5). I made the resolution in november. I feel really good. Starts my day with a "win" as you say. And lost 15lbs not even trying to. Having surgery on old injury next week so back to being a slob lol.

Never go to bed angry.

Meditate when I'm stressed out (although I haven't done it as much lately).

I've started walking atleast 2 miles every morning and listening to classical music.

I then French press coffee and usually write in a journal while listening to motivational videos/speeches. Every week, I list what accomplishments I'm proud of.

I have a lot of anxiety and depression issues, but it's starting to work. I have my killer instinct back, I don't just want to win, I want to win convincingly.

When I don't want to do something that is more internal than external (I.e. Procrastinating studying or something) I tell myself if I don't want to continue after 15 minutes it's OK I can stop. I generally don't anymore, it's just getting started.

You won't find many southerners that do this, but my friends from other places tell me this changed their life.

I started working out 30 minutes a day, five days a week as part of my new years resolution. I exercise a major muscle group each day with no more than 2 or 3 exercises. I haven't noticed any difference as far as muscle growth or leaning of my stomach, but I do feel much better overall.

There are some great books by Ivy League folks that are easy reads and teach how to meditate. Do some research. The medical benefits are well-documented.

I have high anxiety and refuse to get on meds for fear I'll never get off. Exercise and meditation (and the occasional scotch and joint) really help.

I make a checklist/ agenda on my phone during my morning shite. Also I wake up at 6 every morning regardless if I have work or not.

On my off days instead of sleeping in I'll wake up at 6, get some shite done, then after lunch I take a 45 minute mid afternoon nap.

the morning, I like to start my day off the same way each day. I have my alarm set to my favorite song

I had my alarm set to the monday night football theme back in college. Everytime I heard it while watching football, it would make me cringe.

Also, I am really trying to work on developing a more "Don't give a frick" attitude about meaningless things in life.

There are important things in life and there is everything else.

I asked my dad this yesterday and he said "making the bed". Sounds corny, but it gives him a "win" first thing in the morning that carries on throughout the day.

thats why the military makes them do that. the person accomplishes a goal first thing in the morning on the first thing they did. This gives mental stimulation and a drive to accomplish more throughout the day.
