I am just glad that at least the Mayor's Office and NOPD are admitting there is a gang problem.
In the not too recent past, I remember watching the news where the NOPD would adamantly deny that there were any gangs in NOLA or that an incident was gang related. They would be doing a press conference at a crime scene with gang graffiti on the wall behind them clearly visible to the camera and be denying the existence of gangs. It was like watching Baghdad Bob when the invasion was going on.
