Yep, I remember several years ago a lot of info came out about all that.
Didn't take Hollywood long to crush all that from gaining traction.
Kinda feel sorry for those guys.
Chewed up and spat out.

i have been loosely following this phenomenon for a few years now, and i truly believe it might be the purest form of "everyone is in on the joke except you" case the world has ever seen. i think he is the only human being alive on the earth who thinks, truly, that he is a legitimate musician and he honestly believes he has a genuine following.
Mental illness comes in many forms.

Is he for real or is this some kind of Kaufman-esque style of performance art? I really can't tell. It's a fascinating blend of no musical talent, dance moves from the 80's, hideous wardrobe choices, & a complete lack of self-awareness. Are we supposed to be laughing or crying?
Are you serious? Do you even Ascension Millennium, bro? We don't even remotely deserve Corey Feldman's musical genius bestowed on us every year or two.
I think my favorite was when he performed in front of dozens on the tiniest stage imaginable at a minor league baseball game: Greatness.
And then the team apologized to its fans the next day.
All jokes aside, I think he's just mentally fricked up from Hollywood child star-type shite, and people around him just let him do his thing since he isn't hurting anybody. But he is absolutely serious with it IMO. He has always been obsessed with music and idolized Michael Jackson (thus the clothes and attempted dance moves). In his mind he's a gift to the world, and that's why we should just sit back and enjoy the shitshow.

Corey has been trying to effect positive change/vibes for decades! Who can forget this masterful performance from 1992....

I miss the old Howard Stern tv show. It was pretty good.

The man’s an artist, and he’s painting his masterpiece.

How many people would turn down a guaranteed #1 hit per Michael Jackson? Corey Feldman, that's who, because he doesn't need MJ's charity.

MJ was a poor man’s Feldman.

Which is truly fascinating bc even in that link you posted everyone is openly mocking him. Even children. Still he keeps going. It's like he's the musical version of Tommy Wiseau.

in all seriousness, of all the a-hole celebrity shitshows, i find Feldman to be on the low end of hateable. he undoubtedly had a horrible childhood at the hands (and dicks) of Hollywood pedo culture and god knows what else. he lost his best friend/counterpart who suffered in the same way. he seems to have reverted to some sort of never-left-the-eighties mental state. but he also seems like he's having fun regardless of whether or not the world is laughing at him asnd regardless of whether or not he's in on the joke (i truly do not think he is). he's so earnest about it that i find it almost endearing, knowing his backstory. i dont know, he's ok in my book. jsut weird.

Buddy of mine was Pauleys bassist. It is indeed just a silly act. The irony is all those old dudes are very talented musicians. Also not sure what happened, but he left the band and has been shitposting about Pauley since??

Why would anyone care what corey feldman is doing with his music career?
We get it. You’re a cool dude who doesn’t care. So why are you here?

He’s able to hire decent musicians to play for him because I suspect he still has some of his millions from the 80s. This is like an extreme version of MGK trying to do System of a Down covers on Howard Stern.
His singing ability (MGK’s) is very limited and System of a Down is a very hard band to cover. But he’s paying guys to nod along and say “good job, you killed it, man”.
Except Corey Feldman is much less talented than MGK
And he is absolutely ripping off MJ when it comes to the clothes (close enough) and the dance moves (not close at all).
Basically imagine if the dad in your neighborhood who wears Ed Hardy tshirts in 2024, can kind of dance and played guitar years ago was convinced that he was a super talent and has enough money to go on tour and likely paid venues to let him play).
