What ever happened with the girl set on fire in MS?

Did anything ever come up in that investigation? If I remember correctly, wasn't the gas station owner being looked at?

Last I heard, they had a suspect in custody. That was in Nov I think.

I was wondering about this a while back as well...I think they arrested some local thugs for her murder. never did hear the whole story, though.
that whole incident still disturbs me when I think about it...hell of a shitty way to die.

They arrested a guy. He is awaiting trial.
That girl was involved in some shady shite. It was not a random killing.
There has been a lot of pressure to make a conviction. Regardless if that guy did it or not he will hang for it.

Arrested the guy in Monroe where he killed a Taiwanese ULM student. Shipped his arse to Mississippi for his trial that starts in a few months.

Maybe one day 20 years from now we will hear what really happened before during and after she was killed.

The guy that has been arrested for killing her, Quinton Verdell Tellis, was a member of a local gang from the area. She had dated at least one of the gang members.
The store that she bought gas at almost daily was the favorite hang-out for the gang.
I am unaware of the depth of her gang involvement or any activities with them.

Most likely rumor I have heard is that she was muleing drugs for the gang. Her and her gang member boyfriend ended up on the rocks and she threatened to rat.
