If that is true, I will never understand how young girls get involved with POSs like this. What is there reason ?

Her dad was formerly incarcerated and was (maybe is still) employed by the sheriff's dept or somesuch at the time of the girl's murder. Her family was in shady shite... her "friends" were in shady shite. IMO - She got lit up for trying to escape the shady shite.

The guy that has been arrested for killing her, Quinton Verdell Tellis, was a member of a local gang from the area. She had dated at least one of the gang members.
Good call. There is a great YouTube video of the whole situation - a whodunit kind of thing. One of the alleged friends of those men had some eerie facebook stuff where she changed her name in there bc she apparently knew what happened. I think she was a cousin to Tellis.

The articles I just read said he was a mechanic for the Sheriff's dept. They did not mention his arrest record, nor anything about things her family may have been involved in.
My reading has mostly been this evening on this. I did not follow it while it was happening.

because she was born in Batesville and never had a chance. One thing we can take from the story is that town is rotten from the ground up.
