What events will happen before Baton Rouge gets a loop?

We all know the loop ain't going to happen any time soon if ever so what is more likely to happen in the world before the loop? We nuke North Korea, we elect a gay president, LSU wins a basketball National Championship.

One of my employees is former TxDOT brass and drove through BR two weeks ago. He was just amazed at how non-proactive the area appears. He's one of the nicest people I've ever met and for him to be that critical is telling.
I used to get the environmental hurdles handcuffing the one lane I-10 segment, but it's been time for nut cutting for years......
On topic: never. It will never happen and all of the other shortcomings will continue. Sad.
Hell, even Buc-ee's said "no thanks" to LA, and it would've made a killing!!!
