I bought mine off amazon. Didn't get a sticker. I tell you what though. Coldest bourbon and gins I've had in a long time. The only thing that bothers me is the sound of the ice hitting the metal.

Yeti products are like many other luxury items. If you can afford them, great, you're generally going to be satisfied with your purchase. If you can't afford them, no big deal, there are plenty of other viable options from Styrofoam to Turvis or just regular old glass. Prices are set by supply and demand. Whether a product is worth the money that the manufacturer is asking is subjective in many cases.

It takes high quality insulation to achieve that!

I'll be getting one soon. I bought a colster back in the summer. My only complaint is that it is for standard cans, and I wish there was a 16 oz can version for tall beers while fishing or at the beach. My wife got the smaller rambler. It holds hot coffee better than anything else I've used. Even with a Tervis with a lid, once half the liquid is gone it starts cooling down pretty fast. And the last 1/4 is lukewarm to cold.
We saw the lowball cups at Field and Stream, and I was honestly surprised they were only $25. The Colster and the smaller rambler were both $30, and I think the larger rambler was a little more. I told my wife what to put in my Christmas stocking this year.

This is why I won't get one of these. If they sold a version that didn't have 'yeti' on the side I would consider getting one.
I'm going to find a Styrofoam cup to fit around the Yeti, that way I can have drinks that are cold, without the douchie look.

They don't make anything any colder. You are feeding into the hype
Same as the people who say the aluminum bottled beer makes the beer colder

But they keep things cold for longer.

Of course, but that's not what he was seemingly implying

I like my highballs and my colster koozie.
You might want to pre cool them.
The highball will keep ice for 4 to 5 old fashioned's with little ice melt.
They also dont sweat all over my rich mahogany like a glass will. Sadly the highball does not come with a sticker.

Not exactly. Everyone knows they keep things colder for longer. So assuming you don't down your mixed drink/liquor on ice in one gulp, it would technically be colder than the same drink in any other container and even more so once time goes by. That was the implication.

The highball is ridiculous because the liquor will do more to melt the ice than the container will
I do use a rambler for my coffee though

You aren't supposed to do this. Could damage the seal .

At some point I will get lazy and start throwing mine in the dishwasher. But mine is still relatively new and I'm not used to paying $40 for a cup.

I used to think a $25-40 cup was ridiculous. My wife bought me a 20oz and I use it all the time. Much better than the whole cabinet of Waterford we have that most of it is still in the boxes, never used in 15 years.

As long as "pre cool" doesn't mean "put in the freezer" I think you are OK. If you are just putting in the cooler between beers, you should be OK.

I can't speak for the rest of the OT, but its nothing I would buy for myself, however; if I received them as a gift or something then I would use them. Its obviously a trend, if its one you like then more power to you.
