Was knocked out accidentally in a game of battleball(dodgeball) in gym class when I was about 13. I was running sideways when the other team was on attack, and was looking at them while they were in the process of throwing the balls. Ran right into the shoulder of a guy on my team --about twice my size--who was running the opposite direction; he was also looking at the other team.
I remember feeling the pain of contact to my head, and thought I had somehow run into the gym wall, then just kind of saw black and it was like I fell asleep. My friends said I dropped like a stone to the gym floor.
The next thing I remember as being just a second or so later (but my friends said it was about 10-12 seconds) was Coach Bourgeois kneeling over me talking to me and getting me to regain consciousness. My friends said he had lightly slapped my face to get me back to consciousness, but I was out and don't remember that.

If you have been in a lot of fights you have probably been knocked out. Doesnt sound like many of the baws itt have been.
You dont really feel the hit that does it. You just phase out then back in and it feels weird af

This was at Haynes Middle/Jr. High in Metairie in the late 70s.
Guy I ran into was named Danny Duvio; nice guy, he even apologized afterwards even though it wasn't his fault or anything.

Ever wake up out of anesthesia? It is pretty close to a knock out or a choke out. If it is accompanied with some real damage like a broken jaw, I would assume much worse but I have never experienced that.

Aww shite! We are from the same hood...I was at Metairie Grammar late 70's and went to Haynes Middle in early 80's. Grew up on Dream Ct. right off Codifer.

got knocked out cold in a football game.
got ear-holed on a punt return by a dude about twice my size. i was out before i hit the ground.
to this day, have no recollection of anything from that night or the next day. and this was 23 years ago.
i have seen the video (too many times thanks to my a-hole friends that thought it was funny to constantly show it).
was completely limp when i went down. yes i fumbled the ball. threw up all over myself and the field a couple times after they sat me up before they got me to the sideline.
looked really wobbly even with guys helping me walk to get to the bench.
vision wasn’t right for about a week and a half.
equilibrium was off for about the same amount of time.
suffered occasional migraines for close to 3 years after the hit. can’t say for sure the migraines we’re definitely related to the concussion, but i never had them before the hit.

The one time I got knocked out I was in a bar and this fugly short guy kept checking out my lady. I decided to throw peanuts at him just to mess with him. He came over and asked me if I had a problem, and the next thing I know I woke up on the ground. My temples were throbbing but my ex took me home and I dropped it in her.

I got knocked out in football. I remember the instant before the colllision and then it was like I woke up 5, 10, 60 (doesn’t matter) minutes later. All I know is that when I opened my eyes I had a ring of trainers around me.

I've been knocked out twice from fighting and have had a couple few concussions. I'll take being knocked out any day. It's a split second of pain then, poof, you're waking up not knowing what the hell happened with localized pain where you were punched.
Concussion, for me at least, massive headache, nauseousness/vomiting, blurred vision - all of which can last for a hour or two.

Tackled from behind (hey-o) and slung down where the back of my head hit the ground. Lost consciousness. I was helped off the field and later put back in the game (Early 90s). Was playing QB at the time, finished the game and even threw a TD pass post KO. Couple hours later I was at a buddies house sitting on the couch watching Braveheart when all of a sudden I came to. Had no idea where I was or how I got there. Last thing I remembered was being grabbed around the waste while playing football. I lost about 3-4 hours. That shite was scary.

Never knocked out in a fight, but was knocked out from an IED. Didn't feel a thing. Woke up to my buddy dragging me out a the vehicle through the top. He stood me up, and I fell of the top of the front of my vehicle. We immediately had to run about 50 yds to a building. Wasn't until about an hour later did I feel anything again. Pure adrenaline. Now years later I have headaches and memory issues. Yay.

Most of the time in a boxing match, the fighter getting knocked out really didn't see the punch coming and many of them don't remember being KO'd when they come to. That confused look on their face is from getting word from the corner they lost and wondering how.
I've never been knocked out in a fight but had KO'd a few in my younger days boxing amateur. It's a pretty weird feeling to hit someone so hard they are unconscious.
The only time I was stepping in post holes was when I was playing softball in a tournament in left field and making a play on a fly ball and collided with the center fielder when he wouldn't wave off. We both were out the game for an inning before going back in.

Hold on a damn second. First Arby's buys out Buffalo Wild Wings, now they bought out Sonic? What the frick is this shite? Who the hell keeps eating at Arby's so much to where they buy out both Buffalo Wild Wings and Sonic? I'm so baffled. Arby's is trash. Does this not bother anyone other than me?

It’s like in Saving Private Ryan when Tom Hanks is on the bridge. He comes to after a bomb hit. He can kind of see, hearing steadily increases from nothing to indecipherable noise, and lots of confusion.
