What does Christmas really mean to you...

It's the most wonderful time time of the year. My construction projects are on hold and my Mexicans are in in Mexico. They only request off once a year and that's for Christmas. I don't mind. I basically don't do shite for the month of December.

If by wild night out you mean Thanksgiving Dinner then you're right.
At least I think/hope he said it was during Thanksgiving.
To answer the OP, unless you're a kid or have kids, then Christmas is a bigger Pita than its worth. Call me a scrooge if you want, but between people dying or being sick and basically just exchanging gift cards, to bloom is off the Rose for me.
I much prefer Thanksgiving when family just gets together and has a meal or 3 and visits.
With 3/4 grandmothers and grandfathers, B/T me and the Missus, dead (one of my GF died last last fall and the one remaining has cancer and hospice was called in this week) and her Dad dropping dead of a heart attack 2 December's ago, Christmases lately have seen more visits from the grim reaper then Santa. I was already about over it as it was. This year was the final nail...almost literally.

It. Was my 1st wife's cousin and she squealed about how I was able to please her more than her husband... she took it ALL the way in EVERY hole and screamed for more.....

I grew up in a family of Preachers. So my traditional Christmas was built around Church services and the build up that goes into the one of the two biggest days of the year.
Even at home the usual Christmas was very somber and faith/religion based.
When I became an Uncle it became much more fun, esp. after they lost their Dad because I was even that more involved in all the events ( school plays, assembling bike, Star Wars toys) and THEN I became a step-dad and that shite was AWESOME but then the ex and I lost the baby and divorced.
So with the nephews in college and beyond and no kid/family of my own, Christmas is my own personal hell
