Other than that I spend like $100 on food a month.

You eat for $25/week? Seems pretty low even if you are single. I remember my grocery budget being $35-40/week when I was at LSU 20 years ago.

I am pretty frugal so I wouldn’t classify as the spending as “waste” per se. I do have hobbies that fluctuate. Right now, I am big on fishing...I’ve spent $1,000 or so in new gear in the last year. That pace of spending will slow to $150-200 in the next year because I don’t need much more.

I got into photography for a bit and that was an expensive hobby. I probably spent $2500 getting a midrange setup situated. Again, it isn’t a waste because I use it multiple times a year on big trips (and shot my brother’s engagement with it).

I like nice shoes ($300 or so) that I wear from work. I probably get one new pair a year.

I eat out too much. It's pretty much my one frivolous expenditure. Most other things I spend money on have genuine utility.

When I was at LSU living off of red beans and rice and spaghetti I was spending like $100/month on food. This was about 8-12 years ago. It was a pretty spartan life style and not necessarily the healthiest way to do things. Would be hard to imagine going back to that unless I had to.

My lunch is paid for 3 or 4 times a week and I shop at Sam's or Costco and my diet is about 95% meat. I eat about a steak a week, maybe a couple pounds of ground beef, and then a ton of chicken and pork which is cheap.

Also I gamble, but I've made money on college football three years in a row and that's sustained me all year so I haven't spent any money on that.

I didn't exactly eat very healthy for that $35-40 per week. We probably spend well over 1k on food. $700-800 at the grocery store and $300-400 on eating out.

My wife buys yoga pants and all these expensive face creams. I don't think she's ever done yoga. She looks fine to me and aging is natural. Most of my facial hair is grey now and Idgaf.

My husband made a legit face when Amazon delivered these silicone suction cup things that are supposed to help with cellulite. His biggest “wtf” has to be for the torturous “bed of nails” acupressure mat I got. It hurts so badly, but it legit helps with back pain.

Food (restaurants, prime beef at home, etc...)
Alcohol (cocktails at bars and restaurants, wine, bourbon, and craft beer at home)

Those are my two most often sources of wasted money. Occasionally I’ll splurge on a watch.

ETA: travel could also be included, but I don’t consider that a “waste”

Shipping an iceberg back from Antarctica to sell really fresh bottled water but things didn’t work out in this LA heat.

Me and a roommate would buy a tube of ground meat and enough canned goods to fill a crawfish pot. We would cook it down outside and leave it on the burner and reheat every day for a couple of weeks

I like to fill the pockets of my cargo pants up with spare change, then go to the top of the bridge that’s a local hangout spot underneath for homeless people and just start showering those smelly sons of bitches with quarters, nickels, dimes and even pennies frick it they don’t care.

If you want to have some real fun, mix it up once or twice a week and do it with Mexican money or Chuck-E-Cheese tokens.
