In 12,016 it will have been 10,110 years since the Cubs last won a World Series. Give or take a year.

Auburn will have taken the all-time series lead over Bama. Bama will still have several dubious National Championship claims from when the game was still ancient in the 2100's

Damn Titus, I fat fingered a downvote. Sorry old buddy.

The ice age that was due never happened because of global warming.
Trees and crops grow much better because of all the CO2 in the atmosphere.
Earth slightly warmer and oceans slightly smaller but no big deal. Wildlife doing better because of reforestation due to-
Much smaller human population due to a few wars involving nukes.
One world government that is rather authoritarian.
LOTS of medical advances. Airplanes are still around, though. Electricity is from fusion and solar, liquid fuels are made synthetically since fossil fuel is mostly gone.
We still haven't colonized Mars.
The Saints still haven't won another Superbowl.

If we are still around, this is a logical possibility.

And I bet we find or make another planet to live on as well as earth.
Also highly probable.
Although, I'd imagine we'd have eliminated ourselves in some form or fashion by then.
Also, I'm not very keen on astronomy, but at some point the sun, as a star, will explode and kill us all off anyway. Not sure if that's 10,000 years away though.

A percentage of dissidents to the controlling government will become food for the rest!

my best guess would be a mad max situation. I think the odds are favorable for a major apocalyptic event within 500 years.

All of this has happened before and will happen again.

It won't explode. Our star isn't the type that will go supernova. It will expand into becoming a red giant and expand past the point of the Earth's orbit. But we are a long long long way off from that happening. Millions and millions if not well over a billion years from that. Probably longer than life has been around on Earth. If interstellar travel is even possible then we will have figured it out a long time before then, and honestly that is enough time for humans to have evolved to completely different species hundreds of times. We definitely will have ceased to exist from some cause before this happens.

And Al Sharpton will still be there bitching and moaning about some damn thing.
On a serious note. The earth will rid itself of humanity like a dog shaking off fleas long before that. I say at best humans have about another 1,000 years tops.

We cant even comprehend what it will be like in 100 years much less 10,000. Technology will be so far past us that I think humans and AI will merge as one. Think Transcendence.
