What do you think technology would be like today had the US not been created?

The British subjects in America lose the Revolutionary War and the USA never exists. Do you think we would have the same, lower, or higher level of technology in 2018?

Just as an example, what do you think man’s presence in space would be like?

If we had lost the American revolution, we’d all be speaking English. Thank gosh for those patriots

Well, since some of the greatest inventions came out of Germany and Japan, we would still be in this boat.

The Germans put the US into space.

We’d probably be speaking French or Spanish.

We would be conversing in this thread via scraps of paper tied to a rat, trained to run from cell to cell in a Soviet re-education camp. Where you placed the message on the rat denotes which board you are responding to.

Many famous American inventions where being developed in Europe around the same time. I'd say we would have similar tech just a little less advanced.

Would we assume the World Wars still happened?

Because I highly doubt Britain defeats Germany if the US was a colony due to the Brits preferring manufacturing take place in Mother England. They wouldn't have the capacity to outproduce the Germans and would therefore lose the war.

Given the current states of affairs of former British colonies today, I'd say we (US) would probably better resemble India where Germany would look like what you see in The Man in High Castle

East of the Mississippi we would all be Canadian.
West of the Mississippi and south of the Missouri, we would be Mexican.
North of the Missouri we would be Mandans.

Say what you want about the Nazis, but their train system was amazing. I imagine that they could’ve got us to the moon.
