Cursing is trashy unless purely on accident or if on purpose some sparingly and in a funny way in the right circumstances. Even cursing on accident can be trashy in a way.

I know plenty of highly intelligent people who swear constantly and plenty of idiots who never swear. Swearing in front of kids is trashy though.

I curse all the time, but I have Tourette's. Am I trashy?

No.I'm a live and let live type of person.I don't want to tell anyone how to live their life.

I'm 54.Old man.I've done my share of about everything.

Maybe I'm getting to the point where I need to start telling everyone to get off my yard.

I was referring to someone that curses no matter who's around.Just part of their vocabulary.

Thanks for the input everyone.

lack of intelligence, high level of insecurity, self centered and egotistic,

I refuse to hire anyone like that and companies I have bought that have that kind of employee get the hook really quick.

No one wants to work with them or do business with them

You know I actually agree with this even though I'm guilty of the same.

"Profanity has a clarity unapproached even by prayer". Marv Levy.

May have slightly mangled the quote, but you get the idea.

I don't curse a lot because when I did my dad used to pop me in the head. I say "frick" and then flinch. True story.

I curse way to much. It's a terrible habit but I'm around it alllll day because I work in the O&G industry. Idt Inteligence has a lot to do with it as much as profession. My job requires me to deal with both engineers and shop personnel. That being said, I'm pretty sure there's just as much vulgar language in the cubicals up front as there is on the shop floors.

My brother in law (who has been an actual sailor), curses constantly. He uses the f bomb and other assorted curse words in a manner and frequency that other folks similarly use words like "the" and "and." He does this in front of kids and neighbors while standing in his yard. No wonder the three houses immediately adjacent to his are all for sale.
