What do you think happened to Malaysia Air 370?

Just finished the Netflix doc. I think it offers up some good info, various perspectives, things like that.

Stepping back, it’s crazy that in this era, we allegedly can’t find enough wreckage to convince the masses as to what happened. If debris is found in Africa, it must have been planted.

They floated some crazy theories about Russians hijacking the plane from below the cabin, and one involving the US taking down the plane over the South China Sea because of some cargo (lithium batteries was on the manifest) we didn’t want to get into Chinese hands.

FWIW - I still think the pilot was on a suicide mission, banked left, depressurized the cabin, and flew into the Indian Ocean.

I agree with you, which makes for a boring thread but it is what it is

Same, but yes it’s crazy that this could go unexplained for this long with all the tech on these planes today.

More than likely, I also wouldn’t be surprised if US intelligence/US Navy knew where it went down but can’t say because of national security reasons.

I think it flew through an electrical storm and will land at its intended destination in a few years with the passengers and crew all having not aged a single day. Their lives will be miserable with glimpses of the future being flashed before their eyes but it won’t make any sense to them. Some will start a church, some will stay out of the limelight, while a small group of others will risk it all by trying to figure out what the hell happened to them.

How would the world react if Malaysia Air 370 just landed out of the blue?

Dying in a plane crash has to be the worst

Or the Atlantic, or the Indian.

Many folks on the show just demanded that the plane be found to convince them of what happened. If the plane wasn’t on radar, you can only guess as to where it went down. You could narrow it down to 100 square miles and still end up searching for years due to currents, ocean depth, salt water, etc.

That is my biggest fear everytime I fly to Costa Rica. I hate flying over a body of water either from Houston or Miami. For whatever reason I feel more peace when I know we are flying over land.

Flying over land at least allows you a chance to make an emergency landing. Unless you have Sully flying your plane, you are screwed over water. The impact on water will pulverize the aircraft.
