I quit drinking coffee and quit eating fried food. That did it for me, haven't had heartburn in 3 years.
I would rather let my hurt literally burn in a fiery pit than give up fried food and coffee.

I'm not giving up either. I take the peppermint flavored tums. Way better flavor than the berry/cherry or other fruity ones, and it freshens your breath.

I had chronic heartburn for years so I had an endoscopy done to see what was going on. Turns out I had a hiatal hernia which caused the acid in my stomach to creep up my esophagus. I take a Nexium everyday now, and other than some slight aggravation every now and then, I'm symptom free.

Not necessarily. It doesn't matter what I eat, if I don't take some type of acid reducer or pop a couple Tums before bed, it'll sit me straight up in the bed within 30 minutes.

Omeprazole. Same active ingredient that's in Prilosec, but at a much lower price. Get it through 90 day pharmacy. I have experienced NO side effects.

Do you have heart burn or reflux?

If you don't know the difference, you should probably go to a doctor instread of seeking medical advice from the OT.

This is just additional research. Quite a few people have the same issues.

Does anyone take enzymes. Natural cures etc?

Looking to get off Prilosec. What are your experiences?

Drink plenty of cold water. The solution to pollution is dilution!

Protonix. 40mg Every 24 hours. Cannot miss or I am pretty sure I'll die. I have hiatal hernia with severe reflux. Already had 1 hernia repair. My diet is low acid and pretty healthy.
