It's off right now, but if it gets cold out, I'll turn on the heater to take any dampness out the air in the house and then set it on 65.
They make night clothes out of flannel or I can just toss on some sweats if chilly. I really don't like running the heat as it tends to dry out the air too much and messes with the sinuses.

82 in the winter is absolutely fricking brutal. It’s so dry my sinus can’t take it.
Our house is set to 64 and 65

I turn it off most of the day but will turn it to 72 when I get up in the morning. After the kids are off to school and it’s just me then it goes back off.

I hate when the heater runs too much. It makes the house stuffy. I put ours on 63-64 or so on the 10 days per year that we have cold weather.

Energy star recommendations in the summer:
78° F when you’re home
85° F when you’re at work or away
82° F when you’re sleeping
63 at night winter or summer
67 daytime, occasionally 68 winter. When my daughter is home from college, she'll bump it up to 75 in the winter. She, much like my wife and most other women, seem to think that the higher you set it, the quicker it will warm up.
70 in the summer

64 overnight
Quick blast at 69 (
) to help wake up in the morning, then 67 for the rest of the day.
Who the hell wants it all the way up at 72 in the winter?

Set on off.
Will only turn on the heater if my indoor temperature goes below 55F. My heater may run about 10-12 hours during a winter season.
It hasn’t been on yet.
