I'm heading to the marina two miles from my house, stealing that sweet Formosa Spindrift and sail to Dauphin Island. Me Treehorn and some Baws can hold the bridge!

For me, it's Mackinac Island.
It's going to be a trek to get there, but once there... there are well-maintained fortifications surrounding a large enough compound for plenty of growing your own food in a sheltered area. There's no bridge to need to blow up and it's far enough away from the mainland to not attract zombie attention. There's also large game on the two nearby islands.

I would barricade my home and shelter in place for about a month. At that point, most of the hysteria will have died out and people will have migrated out of my area. Then I would slowly venture out to scout the area to secure additional supplies. I have a vitamin shoppe near me, and I can survive off protein powder and supplements for a couple of months (looters won't value what they have). After 3-6 months, the zombie threat will be eliminated (starve and element exposure), then the rebuild will begin..
