I can't wait to see if this becomes reasonably priced how many jerk offs you see with this contraption on while driving.

My favorite part is this nugget from the marketing materials:
quote:

Power. The external battery supports up to 2 hours of use, and all-day use when plugged in.

Yeah, I would fricking hope so Apple

And up to 2 hours of use? Good luck watching movies on a plane without bringing along extra batteries for this thing.

Punching people in the back of their head and stealing their $3500 goggle videos in 3, 2, 1

Has the Byrd guy checked World star hip hop or is he still trying to buy weed at Disney from the can of bud light character?

They come out with this shite but if they would simply make a marine version of an iPad (basically a direct sunlight readable screen and NEMA connections to retrofit existing tech until they took the industry over) they could print money at $5000 a unit for the 12" version. Boat owners are paying upwards of $20K-50K for a ton of NEMA connected components that have to be cabled together to a central processor/screen that has 10% of the computing power of a base iPad. Even a basic chart plotter with 7" screen can run twice the price of a 10" ipad.

They also missed a great opportunity in Automotive. Car Play is fantastic, but 7-8 years ago they missed the chance at taking over the car electronics industry with slide in removable ipads that were even at the time capable of doing a ton more than what car makers are just now implementing.

Didn't something similar tank facebook's stock a year ago?

As an Apple investor in not worried as Apple has a much larger war chest than Facebook, and can afford a miss on a novelty item like this. But I gotta ask... What's the point?

Flop like the watch?

No. The watch wasn’t priced stupidly.

These apple fanboys will unhinge their jaw and take anything Apple offers down their maw.

I remember airpods and the apple watch being ridiculed early too. Now they are ubiquitous.

The decline of Apple under Cook officially began yesterday.
Tim Cook has been at the helm for 12 years, that is such a laughable comment.
And that's coming from someone who owns zero apple product.
