Toyota, Audi, and Porsche look good in it though.

That's Nardo Gray on the Audi and Chalk on the 911 (or Crayon if you are in Europe). The Porsche chalk is my favorite gray auto paint, and the Audi Nardo Gray (leans a little more blue) is a close second in my book. I came close to buying chalk on my current car, but went with Chromite Black instead.

Seening a lot of grey on production vehicles the past few years and they mimic the grey hot rodders in the west coast were using about 15 years ago.

Wife has Telluride in wolf gray, love it. Black trim & wheels definitely appeal, never owned a car that gets so much attention (gas stations, parking lots).

Yeah because Audi/Porsche got the color right and put it in exclusives. Now it’s a color option littering lots.

That RS6 is so slick.

Exactly. Porsche Chalk and Audi Nardo Gray are gorgeous.

Also, I would do very illegal things for an RS6.

Would somebody PLEASE answer this damned question?! I started noticing these in 2019 - mostly on Toyota trucks. It doesn't look matte and it doesn't look gloss...WTF is it!!!

Nissan calls it Boulder Gray. Not sure if everyone else does.

ETA Baja Storm for Tan.

Kinda looks like primer with a gloss clearcoat over it.

Jeep used this color years ago on the JK. In fact, I just bought one

Don’t care for the lighter ( Concrete) colors. I grew up in a body shop. It’s reminds me of the primer color. I love the dark grays.

First time I saw it, I thought it was clear coat on primer

I’m salty that the Tacomas for 2022 didn’t have Cement as a color.

It looks great on that truck.

I got the red and while it’s good it’s not the color I wanted. I was unfortunate to need a new vehicle during the scarcity nonsense. But I’m happy I avoided any of the overage charges because I knew the salesman.

That was my favorite truck by far and favorite color.
I would swap back to that in a heartbeat over my 2016 Cummins if I didn't have a camper

My fishing partner has a Ford 150 with the gray you post and it looks pretty good; I prefer the charcoal gray better

I call it the wet cement look. I do like it but I think in a few years, if not already, it will look very dated.

been fishing for the right term for this and I think you’ve nailed it,

It's basically a "non-metallic" grey.

In general, I like it. It looks amazing on some vehicles, not as good on others. Also depends how dark the grey is.

Guys like it around here cause it gives off a tough military proud Merica look. Ain’t no sissy color. Slap some Merican flag decals and swap out the radio antenna for the stubby one and you have yourself a baw truck baw.
