Neither of these companies cared/asked what you put in there. A couple of weeks and I didn't have to pay for appliance removal...I was barely making it back then

This is pretty typical. If your administration doesn’t want them to be dumped on the side of the road. Sometimes you have to call so they be sure to get it.
