I don’t think you should’ve gotten frustrated with her, but I definitely don’t agree with everybody’s assertion that those texts make you come off as a control freak either. I think that’s a bit much.

You saying I’m not sure how traffic works? 
On long trips if I don’t sleep well the night before I will sacrifice my traffic avoidance plan to sleep a little longer. I figure an extra hour sitting in traffic is better than falling asleep and dying.
Maybe she wanted to sleep longer or do something in town before leaving.

Why do you care when they get back? If they really cared about the traffic they would take appropriate actions to avoid it. And its Atlanta. There is always traffic. WGAF?
