Thursday and Friday, but my client only gets off Thursday, so I'm working Friday. Because of this I get a "free" day off whenever I choose.

I'll be working in an ER on Thanksgiving, so all of you please don't drink and drive. I have 4 days off after though.

Is your job really so terrible that you always have to brag about being off?
And before your "sorry you're at work" comment is posted, I'm also off all week.

I get Thursday off as a paid holiday. First holiday season as a salaried hospital worker. No more nights, no more 12s, no more weekends, no more working every fricking holiday
I have to work Friday because the other IPs in my department want off that day(and have more seniority over me).
I'm off today...but only cause I'm sick and hoping I can nip this shite in the bud before Thanksgiving.

Also taking off Wednesday afternoon to hit the road to the inlaws. Happy to take a year off hosting Thanksgiving and relaxing instead.

This and around Christmas are the best time to hang out at work(if you are local) no one is here and I’m gonna slack off. Save your time off for when everyone is in
Gonna watch and bet on college hoops all week

Not that I have a set schedule and anyone to report to but I'm off all week. About to fly out to Playa del Carmen for 6 days.

Yep, enjoy it now.
But it's not like she will have to work ALL of the major holidays. Depending on where she works at they will do some sort of holiday rotation. Some places I worked at everyone worked some part of Christmas (Christmas Eve or Christmas Day) and you either got all of Thanksgiving or NYE off. Other places you had to work 2 of the 6 days(Thanksgiving Eve, Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas, NYE, New Years Day) and you worked that out with your coworkers. Or you have a set holiday rotation (Group A works this, Group B works that) and you are randomly stuck in a Group and have to trade with coworkers to get the day off you really want.
