Yeah I was told that the Friday after Thanksgiving...everyone that does go to work that day is usually gone by like 1 pm anyways.

Thurs and Fri. Taking off mon-wed is a nifty way to get a full week vacation and only burn three days. But I like going somewhere warm for vacation, and I always spend thanksgiving day with family, if not the whole weekend.

As far as a holiday, Thanksgiving only.
Since I'm taking my vacation in early December, I'm only taking 1/2 off on Friday (and working from home the other half--very slow day expected).
