Portugal is definitely up there. They were a legit world power. The reason Brazil speaks Portuguese...
Netherlands as well.
Italy would really be the Roman empire; Greece definitely played a bigger role in ancient times.

This...so I guess Italy. From ruling the world with an iron fist to a city known for pasta and gelato

USA would be on that list if Hilary was elected

The Ottomans had a pretty good run compared to where they are now (modern Turkey, baws.)

There are no answers that compare to Mongolia.

USA is on that list because Trump was elected. So I guess it was lose-lose.

Germany
Germany effectively runs the EU/Continental Europe. Based on that fact alone, I think France may be the biggest fall from grace. Under Louis XIV and thru Napoleon, France was the dominant and most influential power in Continental Europe and second only to the British Empire globally speaking. It managed to hang on as a great power thru about 1870, when it started getting its arse routinely kicked by Germany. Now its leader is a cuckold who shudders at Angela Merkel's jockstrap.
As we're looking at it now, I'd say Western Civilization as a whole is in danger of falling from grace. Trump and Eastern Europe are the only hope for survival at this point. And the baws, of course.

This. They absolutely destroyed the Chinese, Perisans, Russians... Nobody could stop them, they took whatever they wanted and would have had all of Europe if the troops hadn't been withdrawn due to the death of a Khan.
