What combination of drug/aid/ tools can help on a long flight?

I’m going on a 16 hour flight and I can’t sleep on planes at all. What do the OT take on your visits to Nigerian oil rigs?

Explain to your MD, he may... stressing may give you some mild benzodiazapine or anti emetic that will help. Have sympathy if questions are asked as the abuse of prescription drugs has put may MD under undue scrutiny.

There is nothing worse to me personally than taking sleeping pills and then not being able to fall asleep. I would rather stay awake and watch movies.

Xanax. Doctor will prescribe to you if you explain the situation. Also tell the Dr. you have a fear of flying.

Ambien. Or several teaspoons of children’s Benadryl. That puts most people to sleep for a while.
